The first leg was a short jump west to Noccundra. Noccundra is basically just a pub on a road going west. It also happens to have an airstrip. Since we were all flying we couldn't drink (and it was pretty early anyway) but we had organised for smoko.
The weather had started to close in and the cloud got lower. We never really had any problems with it but it was starting to get a bit more concerning.
The Noccundra Pub is an very nice looking building, with very clean, green and well presented front lawn. The airstrip and was good, once we chased the roos off. We taxied right up to the back of the pub.
However, inside the old architecture was still in obvious existence. In particular the doorways were only about shoulder height. All very quaint, unless you are six foot six tall!
Just over from the pub is the Wilson River with some nice views. Probably would be a nice place to camp but you would need to wear weights to stop the flies carrying you off!
