Day 4 - Charleville to Thargomindah
"The Places We Haven't Been" Tour
                                                        2005
Day 4 was a two leg day. First leg from Charleville to Cunnamulla then Cunnamulla to Thargomindah.

Cunnumulla was almost an after-thought in our planning and turned out to be one of the bigger towns on the trip.  Cunnamulla itself was quite pretty with green parks and gardens and a lively town centre.

Lunch at the pub was a choice of rissoles or steak.  The chef seemed to think we'd all want steak and was surprised by the demand for rissoles. By the end of lunch we had rechristened ourselves the Flying Rissoles.     Click here for the poetical report of the stay in Cunnamulla.

Airport Cunnamulla
After lunch we had a brief look around town, had a look at a couple of small museum and information centres then back to the airport for the short leg to Thargomindah.
Leaving Cunnamulla we started to see evidence of the rain that had been threatening. There were pools of water laying around everywhere.
